Support BWC With a Year-End Gift Today

Dear Boston Workers Circle,

In our Boston Workers Circle community, we believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When we come together in caring community, when we organize, and when we get creative with other people, we are able to do something together beyond what any one of us could do on our own. BWC weaves together the threads of relationship building, ritual and cultural creation, and justice work. We are left with a braid much stronger and more powerful than any individual strand.

This last year at Boston Workers Circle, we continued to build a thriving, secular, progressive intergenerational Jewish home. In 2024 we:

  • Grew our membership by 20% to 850 members;
  • Taught 123 students through our children’s education programming: Shule, Circle Playtime, and Teens Acting for Social Change;
  • Solidified our role as a boldly diasporic Jewish community with deep roots in Greater Boston, social justice movements, and Yiddishkayt;
  • Grew our voice and power as leaders by taking collective action on issues from justice in Israel/Palestine, to reparations and racial justice, to workers’ rights and fighting antisemitism;
  • Finalized and began implementing our three year strategic plan with the goals of:
    • Aligning around a shared understanding of who we are and how our organizational identity connects us to our past, present, and future;
    • Enhancing the impact of BWC’s social justice work;
    • Creating deeper feelings of belonging and community across the organization;
    • Achieving financial sustainability so that BWC can continue to be a progressive, secular Jewish home for future generations;
    • Strengthening BWC’s internal democracy and decision-making processes;

In the year ahead, we will move this work forward as we continue to draw inspiration from our radical past, root in our present, and build a thriving future.

Navigating this heartbreaking historic moment, while sustaining our hope and vision for a just future, is just too much for any one of us to do alone. For 125 years, Boston Workers Circle has brought together progressive Jews to braid our vision for a Jewish community that lives its values and works for a better world. Please join me in making sure we can continue playing this crucial role for the next 125 years, whatever they may bring, with an end of year donation. Thank you.
