Radical Yiddish Zingeray

Description
| Join Rad Yiddish and Linda Gritz and Pauli Katz of Boston Workers Circle for an evening of radical Yiddish song! Learn, sing, and discuss activist Yiddish songs of humor and satire, poking fun at those in power, pointing out our foibles, and questioning everything. We will sing old songs with lesser-known verses, old song with new verses, and a new song! Linda Gritz and Pauli Katz, of Boston Workers Circle ,will teach the songs and discuss the historical context that gave rise to them. There will be plenty of time for singing (on mute) and for dialogue.
No prior knowledge of Yiddish necessary. All songs will be presented in yidishe oysyes, Yiddish transliteration, and English translation. CART captioning will be provided. Co-sponsored by: Rad Yiddish and Queer Yiddish Camp |
