Beyond Capitalism: BWC members in the solidarity economy
Mirroring the event that was held by the BWC’s AFREJ Committee in March, this event is a chance to hear from BWC members working on Solidarity Economy projects aimed at bringing about a world of racial and economic justice outside of the extractive relations of racial capitalism.
In this in-person session, we will learn from BWC members about their work in the solidarity economy movement. We will hear from a panel of current and former Shule parents which includes Eliza Parad, Center for Economic Democracy leader in participatory budgeting; Leah Madsen, Equal Exchange and Micha Josephy, Cooperative Fund of the Northeast.
