A Besere Velt – A Better World – is a vibrant 80-member intergenerational community chorus that weaves the heartache and irrepressible idealism of Yiddish music into a vision of justice and humanity for the 21st century.

For our concert next spring, we’re thrilled to reunite with the legendary Klezmatics. We’ve had the joy of performing together about once every decade, and each collaboration has been an exhilarating celebration of Yiddish music and culture. This concert promises to be especially meaningful: The Klezmatics are celebrating their 40th anniversary, and A Besere Velt is celebrating our 30th!

Have you ever watched our chorus and thought, “That looks like fun—I’d love to try it”? Or did you sing in the High School choir and think you’d like to try it again? Now is your chance!

ABV will hold open rehearsals (no auditions!) from September through November. No need to wonder what it’s like—come experience the joy for yourself. All are welcome, regardless of singing ability or knowledge of Yiddish. Open Rehearsals are: 9/27, 10/4, 10/18, 10,25, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22
