We are Boston Worker’s Circle–a secular, progressive Jewish organization founded in 1905 as a mutual aid society for Eastern European Jewish immigrants. Today, we have a diverse array of offerings: from Yiddish classes and a Yiddish chorus, to working groups focused on immigrant justice, racial and economic justice, Israel/Palestine, and much more.
In the last year, our membership has grown by over 20%, bringing us to close to 1,000 members, some of whom are Brandeis students and faculty. A group of Brandeis undergrads asked for the membership committee to put on this event to give the opportunity for more people in the Brandeis community to learn about BWC.
We will have some structured schmoozing over dinner and then some of our committee chairs will share about what work their committee is doing and how YOU can join!
