Many people feel that the stakes of the 2024 election are higher than perhaps they have ever been before. Much of that concern revolves around Project 2025 and recent Supreme Court decisions that have taken away reproductive rights, challenged climate policy, and have seemed to affirm Trump’s assertions that a “deep state” is undermining democracy and has to be dismantled. Others feel that electoral politics are not terribly relevant to the ongoing work of social justice grassroots organizing. Still others are withholding their votes or voting for third parties because of the ongoing war on Gaza.
