Retreat Planning Committee
This Program is supported in part by a Young Adult Community Grant from Combined Jewish Philanthropies.
Read Joanna Lubkin's personal reflection, published in the Jewish Advocate, on the
Young Adult Organizing Project.
Inspired by the early history of the organization as a mutual aid society, the young adults at the Workmen’s Circle are committed to building a new Mutual Aid and Solidarity Society (MASS) for today.
Past young adult programming:
- Gragger!/Noisemaker! Our Annual Radical Purim Party.
- 7th Night! Radical Chanukah party.
- History of the Jewish Left, a 6-session course.
- Real Conversations about the ‘A’ Word, a discussion about building stronger social justice movements while resisting Anti-Semitism.
- A screening of the film, Young, Jewish and Left.
- From Blue Hills to Brookline, a 4-week course on the history of Jewish in the Boston area, culminating in a bike tour of bygone Jewish community sites from the South End to Mattapan.
