SUMMARY:Voter Rights Phone Banking
DESCRIPTION:Join Boston Workers Circle and Workers Circle National for weekly Wednesday evening phonebanks! The Wisconsin Supreme Court election will be held in April. Recently\, the Wisconsin Supreme Court outlawed absentee dropboxes in a state that already has very restrictive Voter ID requirements\, making it harder for Black\, low-income citizens to cast their ballots. Join us as we call Black voters in Milwaukee to provide crucial information they need to vote in a race that will impact voting rights\, abortion rights\, and democracy for years to come. No experience is necessary and you can make calls from anywhere. \nWe phonebank in partnership with the Center for Common Ground\, a people of color-led organization that fights voter suppression and empowers underserved communities to connect voters of color with the information they need to vote by mail and to vote early in person. Our calls support on-the-ground efforts to reach Black voters by the NAACP\, Black Voters Matter\, and Mi Familia Vota. \nSign up here.
