SUMMARY:Fighting Antisemitism (& Its Weaponization)
DESCRIPTION:The Israel/Palestine Committee\, Acting for Racial and Economic Justice\, and the Jewish Muslim Solidarity Committee invite you to join us on Wednesday\, August 20\, 7-9 pm for a teach-in titled Fighting Antisemitism (& Its Weaponization). The teach-in\, created by Together for an Inclusive Massachusetts (TIM)\, challenges the narrative emerging from the MA Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism and argues that antisemitism is best understood within a framework of collective liberation.  \nThis is a member-only\, in-person event at BWC with a virtual option. \nIt will feature a screening of a new film\, followed by discussion. Tikkun Olam Productions has filmed 6 experts\, including our own executive director\, Rebecca Zimmerman Hornstein\, and BWC member Chris MacDonald Dennis\, discussing topics that include: What is antisemitism and how is it being weaponized? What is the history of Jews’ relation to Zionism and Antizionism? How might we think about the safety of American Jews in this political moment?  \nThe Special Commission will be putting out its report in November.
