DESCRIPTION:Our Jewish Cultural Sunday School engages children grades pre-K-7 in an exploration of Jewish identity rooted in Jewish cultural literacy and traditions of social justice. Through an educational experience based on both classroom learning and community building\, the Sunday School (Shule in Yiddish) curriculum emphasizes Jewish history\, culture and progressive ideals that shape our identity and values as a people. \nWe are proud to be a school community where families from a wide variety of religious and ethnic backgrounds\, both Jewish and non-Jewish\, feel welcome and participate in all levels of the organization. SUMMARY:Kumzits: Brainstorm
DESCRIPTION:Kumzits is an informal gathering space for Shule caregivers (and sometimes the broader BWC community) to schmooze and to learn together. We meet during Shule hours at Shule in order to connect with each other\, discuss important issues\, and to laugh. Past gatherings included discussions of Israel-Palestine\, prison abolition\, Shabbos\, and lots of activities like mosaic-making\, walks to the reservoir\, and bagel eating. Join us for a short\, informal meeting to eat bagels\, connect\, and to imagine our year together.
