DESCRIPTION:Please join the BWC Immigration committee for the Protest at the Burlington ICE office every month on the 3rd Wednesday. This protest happens every Wednesday and is growing by 100 people a week. We hope to get a big group from BWC to go on a monthly basis. This is a peaceful protest bearing witness to horror of the conditions of detainees at the office\, and to stand against ICE and the Trump Administration’s treatment of immigrants. \nParking: Lots of parking nearby\, including Burlington Mall. \nContact us at ijc@circleboston.org with any questions and please let us know you are coming to the protest so we know to look for you.

DESCRIPTION:Whether you already know some Yiddish or not\, this is a chance to immerse yourself in Yiddish language\, culture\, and history through the rich musical tradition of Jewish class struggle! Students of music\, history and Yiddish will enjoy this class. Each class\, students will study Yiddish songs with the aid of written lyrics in English transliteration\, discuss historical and cultural context of each one and then sing together. With chants against the police state\, a socialist murder ballad\, lullabies\, and more\, we will have plenty to discuss. We will also spend some time on pronunciation and relevant vocabulary so as to enrich the experience of both students and fans of the Yiddish language. \nRegister here.
