Please join us for a Community Wide Havdalah Celebration!
Open to the entire Workmen’s Circle community of adults, teens, and kids

Havdalah means “separation” as it separates Shabbes from the rest of the week.
Please join us as celebrate the end of Shabbes and relax together with our community.
Bring a dish or beverage to share.

5:30: Candle making activity
6:15: Potluck Dinner
7:00: Havdalah Celebration
Come for any part or all of the celebration.

2014 Zayin Class Presentations

Congratulations to our Zayin (7th grade) class on the presentation of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah projects!

Yiddish-English Shabes pot luck meal

Boston Workmen’s Circle, 1762 Beacon St, Brookline

Celebrate the “May Day” workers holiday with a special Shabes program conducted in Yiddish. Non-Yiddish speakers welcome; written English translations and transliterations will be provided for the readings and the songs.

Worker Justice and Celebration at Purim!

What a weekend of raucous and riotous Purim celebration at our 7th annual Gragger/Noisemaker! and our Shule Purim Carnival! Read on for pictures.


Each year, we celebrate Sukes in the Sunday School (Shule) with sukkah-building and decorating, a sukes spieltag (fun day) and other childrens' activities, and a potluck lunch.

Secular High Holiday Observances

Rooted in a Jewish commitment to social justice, we have created unique programs of readings, reflection, and singing for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Whatever your level of Jewish knowledge - however you might define your own spirituality - we invite you to join us.

Family Purim Party & Carnival

No Purim celebration is complete without a wild and wacky Purim Shpiel, costume finery, and loads of fun and games. Hosted by the Shule 7th grade class, featuring games and prizes for children under 10. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
