This past week here Boston Workmen’s Circle offered a wide variety of programs that showcased the wonderful diversity of our community, from Shule to a Shabes dinner to a discussion of solidarity and mutual aid. Read all about it!

Circle Playtime

Runkle School, 50 Druce St., Brookline

Circle Playtime at the Boston Workmen’s Circle Center for Jewish Culture and Social Justice is a monthly Jewish and social justice themed play group for children ages 0-5, accompanied by a parent. Singing, stories and fun activities, led by our dynamic teacher, Meira Soloff, followed by informal play and shmoozing. Free.

November's theme: shabes/shabbat.

2nd Friday Shabes Debut

On Friday, October 12, 40 Boston Workmen's Circle members of all ages gathered at the building for our first Second Friday Shabes. Soft light and a beautifully set table welcomed all to this, the first in a five-month series of shabes gatherings, sparked by our community discussion about spirituality.

We are very excited to see you for the new year! We have a few important notes for the first week(s):

10:30am - 12:30pm

NOTE: Grades K, 1, 2, 3, and 6 will be at the Boston Workmen's Circle building, 1762 Beacon St., Brookline.

Grades 4, 5, and 7 will be at the Lincoln School, same as the Parent Welcome Assembly (see below).

Tashlich and New Year's Fun for Families and Babies

66 Banks Street, Cambridge, MA 02138

Apples and honey, bread crumbs in the water, families, babies...  Join us for a New Year's gathering at a home that's just 5 minutes from the Charles River. Around noon we'll walk to the river to let some bread crumbs go off the bridge and say goodbye to everything we want to leave behind to start 5773 off right. If you want to bring something, make it veggie (although no need to bring anything!) RSVP to Avi at avi@avigreen.org
