Young Adult Shabes

1762 Beacon St. Brookline, MA

BWC Young Adults are invited to come together to welcome in shabes with song! This will be a space for all of us to end our week with the tone we need -- whether that be a cathartic and raucous Yiddish tune or a meditative and ancient niggun (wordless melody). We'll sing songs with words, without words, in English, and in other Jewish languages.

All songs will be taught -- no prior singing experience or confidence necessary! We'll learn the tunes together and explore their meaning and relevance to a contemporary, secular and/or spiritual Shabes practice. Thanks to BWC members David Schwartz & Roz Freeman for facilitating!

This is a POTLUCK event. Please bring a dish to share. Let us know what you're bringing here: We look forward to seeing you!

Schedule of evening:
6:30 Arrive and schmooze
7:00 Ritual
7:45 Potluck

*This space is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up to the front door.
