Circle Book Group: "Tell Me a Riddle"

Online, on Zoom

Our December book is Tell Me a Riddle by Tillie Olsen

There are several editions in the Minuteman Library Network each of which has all four stories: "I Stand Here Ironing," "Hey Sailor, what Ship," "O Yes," and "Tell Me a Riddle." A century after her birth, Tillie Olsen’s writing is as relevant as when it first appeared. The clarity and passion of her vision and style have become even more striking over time. Olsen first published TellMe a Riddle in 1961. Most of the stories are linked by the characters in one family; three of the stories are from the point of view of mothers.  Wikipedia:
