World Fellowship Recap: July 15 - 17, 2022

For a long time, BWC has had a close connection to World Fellowship Center, a "lefty" summer camp in New Hampshire. Some BWC members have been going to World Fellowship for decades. In the past 20 years or so, Boston Workers Circle, in coordination with the World Fellowship staff, has hosted a gathering there, to ensure programming and entertainment of interest.

This July, BWC members ranging from less than a year old to over 70 gathered at World Fellowship for our first post-pandemic weekend! We enjoyed swimming and boating at Whitton Pond, hiking on various White Mountain trails, and bicycling on beautiful mountain roads. Pamela Means put on a terrific concert, and Friday Night Fun Night, a talent show, was full of fun acts, including songs performed by approximately ten A Besere Velt Yiddish Chorus members. Other highlights included the BWC meet-and-greet with wine and cheese, late evening board games, and of course, lots of sitting on the lawn, looking quietly at Mt Chocorua, or shmoozing with fellow BWC members and other guests. It is a tradition we hope to revive and continue, as we put the pandemic (mostly) in the rearview mirror!
