Alice Rothchild is a Boston-based obstetrician-gynecologist who has worked in the health care reform and women’s movements for many years. She is an active member of Boston Workmen's Circle. Since 1997, she has focused much of her energy on understanding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and has made multiple visits to Israel/Palestine as a doctor and human rights activist. She has published three books based on her experiences and made one film, Voices Across the Divide. Her new book, Condition Critical, is a collection of several years of curated blog essays and analysis about Israel/Palestine with a special focus on Gaza.
