Shule Tzedakah:
Socks for the Homeless

This winter, the Shule Beyz Class (2nd grade) has been learning about homelessness. As a tzedakah project, they are collecting new white men's socks for the Health Care for the Homeless Sock Drive. They have talked a lot about how important it is for homeless people to have clean socks to keep their feet warm and dry, and the students have decorated a big box for sock donations and made some beautiful signs to publicize their efforts. The box is in the Boston Workmen's Circle lobby - they invite you to purchase some socks for the drive and drop them off in the box the next time you are in the building for a Yiddish class, chorus performance, or meeting! They will be bringing the socks to Health Care for the Homeless in early March.
