Moving On But Not Going Far

I'm writing with some exciting but bittersweet news.  After 4 years as an organizer here at the Boston Workmen's Circle, I am planning to move on to new challenges and opportunities.

I'm not going far! My last day on staff will be August 22, but you'll continue to see me around the Workmen's Circle at the High Holidays and other community events.  The Workmen's Circle will continue to be an important community for me.  I plan do some travelling and will be exploring ways that I can put my organizing and organizational development skills to work in the world of cooperative and mission-based businesses. If you've got any ideas for me, I'd love to hear 'em!

We are still interviewing candidatesfor my position and you can see the job description here

From Purim shpiels, adult ed. classes and labor actions to conference calls, meetings, and retreats, our work together has taught me to become a more confident, grounded and strategic thinker and doer. Thank you to all of you for making these past 4 years a truly rewarding experience.  It's been a lot of fun, and I've built connections - with folks my own age and with other generations - that will continue to enrich my life for years to come.

In friendship,
Leah Madsen
