2010 Spring Appeal

THIS SPRING, MAKE A GIFT TO SUPPORT THE

BOSTON WORKMEN’S CIRCLE SHULE!

At Shule I learned about the Jewish tradition of social justice. It helped me find my own meaning and connection to Judaism.
–Shule 2010 Graduate Sophie Colbath-Hess

This year, the Boston Workmen’s Circle Shule is graduating a remarkable class of sixteen b’nai mitzvot. We are delighted to share our joy with you, and welcome you to attend the always inspiring Shule Bar/Bas Mitzvah ceremony on June 5th. We also invite you to take a moment to help support this important, one-of-a-kind Jewish institution. To make your gift, you can either click the above Donate Button, or mail your check to Boston Workmen’s Circle at 1762 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA 02445.

As we launch our newest graduates, there’s no better time to ask you to support the institution that has helped root their Jewish identity in a lifelong commitment to building a better world.

We will continue providing a unique secular and progressive Jewish education to the hundreds of children who pass through our doors, but we cannot do it without your support. Tuition covers only a portion of the costs of running the Shule, and we are committed to making sure the Shule remains affordable to all interested families. This spring, as we mark the b’nai mitzvot of another Shule graduating class, make a donation that honors the accomplishments of all our young people and celebrates the unique educational experience that the Shule offers.

Your generous contribution will help to support:

• The Scholarship Fund
• Curriculum Development and Teacher Training
• Social Action

“I have been part of the Workmen's Circle community since kindergarten, mostly through Shule and more recently through the chorus. Being Jewish has shaped me as a person, and learning about how we have sometimes been discriminated against helps me sympathize with people from different cultures all around the world.”

– Shule 2010 Graduate Daniel Albert-Rozenberg

We are deeply proud of our Shule and of the many graduates who have celebrated their Bar/Bat Mitzvah with us. Today, as we approach the closing of another successful school year, please make a contribution to the Boston Workmen’s Circle Shule. You too should take pride in this unique Jewish institution and our students’ many accomplishments.

In friendship,

Jenny Silverman
Shule Education Director
