Cosecha House Party - Support Immigrant Rights

75 Arborway, Jamaica Plain (see directions attached)

AFREJ and the Young Adult Committee will be hosting a houseparty in support of Cosecha, an immigrant rights movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all immigrants. Cosecha is not an organization, but a movement of volunteer organizers. Join us on January 8th to learn how to support their movement and raise funds for Cosecha.

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CHECKBOOKS!

Check out BWC member and Cosecha organizer Emily Bloch's October blogpost about her work with Cosecha. Since the election, Cosecha's work has taken on even more importance.

The event will take place in a BWC member's home. Come to enjoy light food and each other's company, to hear stories from Cosecha organizers, and to explore the question of how we, an organization founded by and for immigrants, are continuing to support today's immigrants.

"For me, Cosecha captures the heart and soul of protest--migrant power let loose in a joyous shutdown of stores and streets."

-Lynne, member of BWC Acting for Racial and Economic Justice Committee
